Review overview
Xiaomi has been iterating on the Redmi Note formula for so long that genuine surprises are rare. The Note 17 Pro+ manages one anyway, and it is not the camera — it is the battery.
Battery and charging
The 7,000mAh silicon-carbon cell is the largest ever fitted to a Redmi Note, and it comfortably clears two days of moderate use. Paired with 90W charging, a full top-up takes just under 40 minutes. This alone justifies the upgrade for anyone coming from a Note 13 or older.
Where it compromises
The ultrawide is still a 8MP afterthought
HyperOS ships with more preinstalled apps than it should
No wireless charging at any configuration
Verdict
At NPR 41,999 for the 12/256GB model, the Note 17 Pro+ is the most complete midrange phone on sale in Nepal right now. The bloatware is annoying and the ultrawide is weak, but neither undoes what is otherwise an unusually well-balanced package.
