Find X9 Pro — camera test
Oppo's partnership with Hasselblad has spent several generations producing colour science that looked good in marketing and inconsistent in practice. The Find X9 Pro is the first one where the tuning holds up across the whole range.
Main sensor
The 50MP 1-inch sensor does what 1-inch sensors do — it collects a lot of light and keeps shutter speeds short enough to freeze motion indoors. What has changed is the processing, which no longer aggressively lifts shadows into a flat, HDR-heavy look.
Periscope
The 200MP 3x periscope is the standout. At native focal length it is genuinely excellent, and the 6x crop remains usable in daylight. Past 10x it falls apart the way every phone does, marketing claims notwithstanding.
Verdict
This is the best camera phone Oppo has shipped, and one of the two or three best on sale anywhere. Whether that justifies the price depends entirely on how much you shoot.
